# Target Allocations: Tailored Investing

Target Allocations allow you to customize how you invest your charitable funds by setting percentage by asset across a diverse range of traditional and digital portfolio options. All portfolios are vetted and board-approved before being made available to Endaoment users. It is important to remember that all assets bear some risk, as discussed in our [Investment Policy](/governance/documentation/investment-policy). Endaoment retains the right to exit any portfolio position at any time, as described in the [Crisis Response & Emergency Action](/governance/documentation/investment-policy) section.

Specify your ideal mix to align with your philanthropic goals and preferences.

## Step 1: Navigate to Fund

Navigate to your Donor-Advised Fund and click `Edit Allocation`.

## Step 2: Set up your Target Allocation

Search through the various Portfolio options. Click the `+` and adjust the percentage allocation for each you choose so that the total = 100%.

Select `Save Allocation` to confirm the capital deployment.

Note: Endaoment employs the use of **caps** - a limit for the amount of dollars that can be deployed in a particular portfolio to ensure that we remain compliant with prudent investment standards and board-approved risk levels.

See below for a video demonstration of how to set up your target allocations.
