# Fee Schedule

> Endaoment App fee schedule: tiered one-time donation fees, one-time grant fees, and portfolio costs.

**We think donated assets should make their way to organizations, rather than sitting in a DAF racking up annual admin fees.**

This page is the **canonical public fee schedule** for **Endaoment App** (self-serve donors and advisors). It is the source of truth for App collateral. Embedded or advisor-managed **AUM** partner programs use a different Endaoment product lane and must not inherit these one-time admin fee claims.

Endaoment charges a **one-time** administrative fee when you donate (tiered, starting at 0.50%) and a **one-time** administrative fee when you grant (1.0%).

<Info>
  **T+N** means traditional brokerage/custody portfolios that settle on a trade-date-plus-N-business-days rail. Those portfolios carry the custodian/brokerage expense ratio shown on the portfolio page.
</Info>

If you're looking for portfolio details, see [investment portfolios](/donors/about/about-investment-portfolios).

## No Minimums

Major providers often require a minimum fee of \$500, plus a minimum donation of \$5,000 or even \$25,000 to open a DAF. At Endaoment, there is no required DAF initial donation size, and no charge for opening a DAF.

**There is no minimum donation size or grant size.**

## Tiered Inbound Fee

When you donate any asset into your DAF, you pay a one-time fee based on the total amount of the donation. The fee starts at **0.50% (50 basis points)** and tiers down for larger gifts:

| Balance Range                | Donation Fee |
| ---------------------------- | ------------ |
| \$0 - \$250,000              | 0.50%        |
| \$250,000 - \$500,000        | 0.40%        |
| \$500,000 - \$1,000,000      | 0.30%        |
| \$1,000,000 - \$10,000,000   | 0.20%        |
| \$10,000,000 - \$100,000,000 | 0.10%        |
| \$100,000,000+               | 0.05%        |

This uses “fill the bucket” logic across contribution levels.

</Note>

## 1.0% Outbound Fee

Once a [grant recommendation](/donors/getting-started/recommending-grants) is approved by Endaoment, there is a **one-time 1.0% fee (100 basis points)** at the time of grantmaking. This amount supports our work before funds are sent to the nonprofit.

<Info>
  If you make a direct donation on an organization's page, you are making both a donation and a grant recommendation simultaneously; a **1.5%** fee is applied.
</Info>

## Portfolio costs

| Portfolio type | What you pay |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Crypto**            | **\$0** Endaoment portfolio fee                                                                        |
| **Impact** | **\$0** Endaoment portfolio fee; any underlying expense ratios are shown on the portfolio page |
| **Traditional (T+N)** | The custodian/brokerage expense ratio shown on the portfolio page |
| **Advisor fees** | Any advisor management fee is **separately disclosed** by the advisor. It is not Endaoment's admin fee |

See [investment portfolios](/donors/about/about-investment-portfolios) for full detail.

## What this schedule is (and is not)

| In scope on this page | Out of scope on this page |
| --------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Endaoment App admin fees (inbound + outbound) | Embedded / advisor-managed **AUM** partner programs (separate product lane; contracted) |
| Portfolio costs shown to App users | Endaoment API access pricing (contracted; not this App schedule) |
| Donor-facing Endaoment administrative fee     | Partner or revenue-share payments                                                       |

**Donor-facing rule:** donors see the applicable Endaoment administrative fee(s), the tiered donation fee and/or the 1.0% grant fee, plus any separately disclosed advisor fee.

## API and AUM partner programs

**Endaoment API** programs are contracted separately. They are not a second public App schedule.

Transactional gifts and grants from another product still use this App donation and grant schedule unless a different arrangement is contracted. Auto-SMA, custodial, or advisor-managed DAF books use a different AUM product lane and must **not** inherit these one-time admin fee claims.

## Why Endaoment App is the better choice

* **One-time admin fees:** Tiered donation fee + 1.0% grant fee. Endaoment earns when capital moves, not when it sits.
* **Portfolio costs you can see:** Crypto and impact have a \$0 Endaoment portfolio fee. Traditional portfolios show the custodian/brokerage expense ratio on the page.

We think the industry standard of recurring annual admin fees goes against the original spirit of DAFs. That's why, on Endaoment App, we earn the majority of fee-based revenue when you deploy DAF capital to the organizations and communities you care about.

## Partner fees (third parties)

We work with partners to expand services. Some charge additional fees.

[**GlobalGiving**](https://www.globalgiving.org) enables international organizations on our platform. GlobalGiving retains 5% of donations raised by their partner organizations through Endaoment. All GlobalGiving-supported organizations in our application are marked for transparency.

Payment processing (e.g. [Stripe](https://stripe.com/pricing)) may apply on certain cash rails and is shown in-app where relevant.
