You can grow philanthropic capital over time and increase the amount you’re able to grant out to 501(c)(3)s. With Endaoment, you can enjoy the broadest range of portfolio options available. Enter any portfolio that is below its cap at any time, and exit whenever you are ready to grant out funds.
A cap is the protocol-wide limit for the amount of assets (measured in dollars) that can be deployed in a particular portfolio. Caps are used to ensure that Endaoment remains compliant with prudent investment standards and board-approved risk levels.
All portfolio options go through a rigorous vetting process and must be board-approved before being made available to Endaoment users, it’s important to remember that all portfolios bear some risk. Please make sure to consider all relevant risks before deploying fund capital, as Endaoment is not responsible for the performance of any portfolio or underlying asset. In order to safeguard overall platform assets, Endaoment retains the right to force exit any portfolio position at any time, as described in the Crisis Response & Emergency Action section of Endaoment’s Investment Policy.

Investment Portfolio Fees

Once funds enter a DAF, all funds are allocated according to the target allocation. The default target allocation takes advantage of onchain stablecoin yield opportunities. Target allocations can be updated at any time. Fund positions are rebalanced regularly and automatically by the Endaoment platform. Standard portfolios on Endaoment are categorized as either crypto assets or traditional assets, while certain offerings — such as Advisor-Managed, Sell-Over-Time, and alternative asset portfolios — are classified as Managed & Specialty Portfolios with their own fee structure. Endaoment does not charge its own annual fee on crypto or traditional asset portfolios. The only ongoing costs for standard portfolios are the underlying expense ratios charged by our brokerage partners for traditional assets. All fees are displayed on each portfolio’s page and inside all transaction summaries, ensuring full transparency when making allocation decisions. You can also add an Advisor Managed Portfolio to your fund to manage your portfolio positions on your own platform. Advisor Managed Portfolios carry their own fee structure — see Advisor Managed Portfolios for more information.

Crypto Asset Portfolios

0.00% Annual Fee

There is no Endaoment fee charged on assets deployed in crypto-native portfolios.

Traditional Asset Portfolios

$500 Minimum

When entering a traditional asset portfolio, there is a $500 minimum investment size.

Brokerage Expense Ratios Only

DAFs are charged the underlying expense ratios by our brokerage partners for access to traditional assets — Endaoment does not layer on an additional fee. All fees are displayed on each portfolio’s page and inside transaction summaries to provide you transparency and assistance when making decisions about allocations. These fees are presented as an all-in expense ratio, with no hidden fees, and are shown during the portfolio flow as well as in-app.

0.00% Exit Fee

There is no exit fee in portfolios. To encourage the movement of philanthropic capital off the Endaoment platform and into the hands of other 501(c)(3)s, we’re committed to maintaining fee-less exits from all portfolios.

Managed & Specialty Portfolios

Certain portfolio types carry an annual platform fee to cover the additional infrastructure, compliance, and operational costs involved in managing these positions. 0.50%–1.00% (50–100 bps) annually, depending on the asset class and complexity of the portfolio. This includes Advisor-Managed Portfolios (AMPs), Sell-Over-Time (SOT) portfolios, and illiquid or alternative asset positions. For AMPs, advisors and/or custodians may layer on their own management fees in addition to the platform fee.
